Fort Umpqua Heritage Orchard (FUHO) Tune-Up

What:  Fort Umpqua Heritage Orchard Tune-Up

When:  Tuesday, June 10th from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Where:  Fort Umpqua Heritage Orchard located at 15850 State Highway 38, Elkton, Oregon.  The FUHO is located behind the Elkton Community Education Center on the way to Fort Umpqua.

Contact:  For more information contact Gregory Flick at (541) 584-2757.

General Event Information:  The FUHO is in need of some immediate attention.   We will be having a "Tune-Up"  at the FUHO to weed whack, fruit thinning, branch unburdening, general clean-up and early summer pruning.  Please bring gloves, eye protection, long sleeves and long pants, and water to keep hydrated.  If you have some sharp pruners and or loppers that would be a good thing too, plus a weed whacker (battery preferred) and ear and eye protection.

We really hope for a good turn out to show some love to our FUHO.  There will be additional opportunities to participate in the orchard,  please be curious and ask what that entails.  Please spread the word, the more the better.
