    About Conservation Projects Meetings  

Welcome to the Umpqua Soil & Water Conservation District's web site. The USWCD is non-regulatory public service agency dedicated to providing natural resource assistance for private landowners and managers.


The mission of the locally led Umpqua Soil and Water Conservation District is to provide assistance to any individual, group, or agency in applying natural resource conservation practices for the wise use of their natural resources.


To be a respected, valued community organization committed to managing the natural resources base for future generations. To ensure sustainable agricultural and forest production, supporting functioning human, wildlife, fish and forest habitat.


4th Annual Wine & Agriculture Tour - Please join us for the 4th Annual Wine & Agriculture Tour on August 17th, 2013 hosted by the Umpqua Soil & Water Conservation District. Transportation will include pick up from sites in both Reedsport and Elkton. The Elkton Community Education Center will provide our lunch with a variety of sandwiches, chips, cookies, and beverages. See you there!
